Whereby Health and Safety workplace inspections are designed to systematically identify hazards and assess working practices to ensure a safe and compliant environment.

The key difference between a Health and Safety Audit and a Workplace Inspection is that audits evaluate the effectiveness of an organisation's Occupational Health and Safety Management System (OHSMS), while Workplace Inspections focus on identifying immediate hazards and non-compliance in specific areas or operations.

They should ideally be conducted by someone who is competent in identifying potential workplace hazards and mitigating risks to prevent accidents and injuries. These inspections and audits are crucial to ensuring  compliance and the safety of the workplace environment, as well as the individuals working within it.
